Back to Work!

I was scheduled for a 6 mile tempo on Wednesday. Tuesday I had already decided I was just going to run the 6 miles easy. I was already tired from re-entering the workforce.

I left school later than planned--so as I pulled into the lot of the ET (which I despise running on), I was already down to five miles in my mind. By the time I was .5 in, I was good with 4. And it was a gross 4 at that. So my 6 mile tempo became a 4 mile "should have been easy at that pace but wasn't remotely easy" run.

I really want to do the ME Half. Has always been my plan for the year. But getting runs in is going to be more challenging than last year (bit of a change at work, which means putting more time in...which means less time to squeeze in a run before picking up Greta). How the hell did I manage runs 2 years ago after G went to bed? Oh yeah. She would go to bed before 6 many a night. I also have been feeling the effects of taking that bit of time off post B2B, coupled with modified long runs...that 8 didn't come easily last weekend. I am scheduled for 11 tomorrow--but will probably do my loop and make it 9. My run tomorrow will also be an early one. Blech. So who knows. I just think that sometimes other things come along and suddenly running falls down on my priority list.

Been plopping in P90x workouts as I can...I find more and more I need to KNOW my workout plans going into the week. Otherwise I choose...nothing on certain days. Thursday was a questionable day for me in terms of when/what/if I would work out--turns out I could have worked out after G went to bed. But I was so tired. I chose to do nothing. So tonight has to be Plyo no matter what. The best workouts are the ones you force yourself to do. It is so much easier NOT to do it. For some reason, that always motivates me to do my workout. Who wants to choose to take the easy way out?
