So that long run left me a tad sore. I took yesterday as an off day and today did a five mile "easy" run. I am opting out of a speed workout this week. I realized a couple of minutes into my run that I don't really need to worry about hitting them since I am training for....nothing? Planning on a couple of easy three milers this week and another 10 mile long run this weekend.
My lower calf on my left leg is tight and bothering me a bit. While logically I know that this is the result of 10 miles of pavement and shoulder running--it still scares me a bit because before my stress fracture became very painful, I was experiencing lower calf pain. I know the two are probably not related but...So it looks like I might need to hit the blvd for my long run this weekend.
I am typically a "song" person--I like songs. Not artists. I pick and choose. But for whatever reason, I decided to listen to Black Eyed Peas the other day (normally I rely only on a couple of their songs)--and I LOVE running to them. Love em or hate em as artists, they do indeed provide a great beat for running. And I also learned that every one of their songs has filthy lyrics.
Glad to say I don't even quite recall the last treadmill run I had. Here's to hoping the gym membership is in hibernation for the year!
