Another week...

Had a great long run again today...I am a middle of run person--usually kind of slow to warm up (first mile or two) and then I tend to run out of gas at the end. Those middle miles are fantastic though--especially when they happen to be over very flat ground.

The weather was great for a run-a little chilly and I made the mistake of wearing thermal pants that are NOT running pants. You may not think this is a big deal but it is when said pants sag at the crotch a bit (for lack of a more eloquent way of putting it) and your inner thighs are destroyed due to the intense chafing that occurred. OW.

My shin feels fine. I do have some odd inner ankle-ish pain on my left leg (the stress fracture leg)--I assume completely unrelated. Probably doesn't help that I need new sneakers. I cannot do another long run with them--thankfully Friday is payday. I also need to stay away from the pavement for the rest of my runs this week since today's was a road run. Too much pavement running is never good for me.

I have been struggling BIG time with my tempos. For some perspective-today's run averaged 9:07s (which includes 10mm for the first 2). I felt great. But last Tuesday's speed workout tempo with 8:43s--I had to stop after 2 miles. Go figure. This week's speed workout is intervals so I think it will be fine.
