So my refusal to go to the gross gym near my work/Greta's daycare may have come to an end.
I watched as the snow continued to fall all day and knew it wasn't going to be a pretty outside run (well, of course it would be pretty to look at. Just not to do.)
I headed towards the blvd but at the last minute decided to check out the ET just because it is so much more convenient. The first 2 minutes of the run were bearable. And then I realized I would probably break my ankle since the trail quickly became extremely lumpy/hard/snow covered. I had thought that all of the snow before today was gone, but maybe not because it was so uneven. I don't know, something is jacked up under that snow.
So then I had to drive to the boulevard. It was runnable. With any additional traction on my shoes, it would have been completely fine. There was definitely ice but I didn't wipe out or have any major slips. The snow was blinding for the first half of the run. It wasn't the worst run ever but not sure I would want to repeat it. And my left foot that had finally been feeling better (I did something to it during the Old Port Half) started hurting with 1/2 mile to go.
wah wah wah.
And now I am thinking my pace run tomorrow just may have to be at the gym.
Ew.
